For the second year in a row, Alto was named to the 2024 CNBC Disruptor 50. This annual list recognizes private companies that are chasing some of the market’s biggest opportunities, and growing despite a tough capital markets environment. Our team is humbled to be amongst leading companies that share a commitment to put their customers first - disrupting and innovating along the way.

Our mission remains to fulfill medicine’s true purpose — to improve quality of life — for everyone who needs it. In the past year we narrowed in on better serving our patients by improving costs, convenience, and care. By teaming up with like-minded companies such as Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs Company, we’re able to deliver low-cost medications to patients across the country. We’re also using industry leading automation tech to reduce the administrative burden on our pharmacists so they can operate at the top of their license to improve the quality of patient care. 

Alto’s model is patient first, tech-enabled, and centered on the critical role of pharmacists as a trusted expert guide in a person’s health journey. Between drug shortages and higher rates of burnout throughout the healthcare industry, we knew we needed to put in the work to show our pharmacists they are valued and the core of our business. In 2023, we worked to amplify the voice of the pharmacist. We now have pharmacists leading key roles, such as patient experience and fulfillment and delivery teams. They are a key voice in all we do. 

As we’ve continued to grow the past year, we also diversified our leadership so that it is filled with distinguished experts of their field. Women are still vastly underrepresented in leadership roles across the country. We hired four women in C-Suite roles that are experts in their fields and committed to fostering an environment that empowers their teams to contribute and grow.

Each of these key initiatives from the past year support our business model, operations, and value proposition. We are excited for what’s to come for Alto. We know it will not be easy and that there is still so much more work to be done within the healthcare industry. Alto is energized more than ever to make an impact and to simplify the patient experience with our innovative approach. Alto is committed to providing extraordinary care.
