Navigating your Progyny Rx experience
Coverage and Authorization
Can you tell me more about authorizations?
An authorization is a confirmation from Progyny that notifies Alto Pharmacy you have been approved for your medications. This authorization allows Alto to process your order through your Progyny Rx benefits.
Female authorization: Prescription authorizations are dependent on cycle type and subject to change based on Progyny. Alto Pharmacy typically receives your authorization from Progyny for prescription coverage ahead of time and if we don't have the prescription authorization by the time you need to order your medications, you can contact us with a backup credit card. You will only be charged if the authorization is denied.
Male authorization: Prescription authorizations are valid for a 60 day duration. When an authorization expires, a new authorization must be approved by Progyny for medication coverage. If Alto is unable to verify your prescription authorization, you can initiate a new authorization request through Alto Pharmacy by sending us a secure message through the Alto app: https://app.alto.com/messages or give us a call at (833) 682-8243.
